About the processing plant in Kiruna
The mission of Kiruna Malmförädling is to process the ore from mine to finished product. The main parts of the process are crushing, concentrating, and pelletizing. The department consists of a total of eight sections, four of which are part of the main process and the other four are support sections within quality, technology and process development, material processes, and water and dams. About the position
You now have the opportunity to take on a very rewarding and stimulating job as a Maintenance Engineer/Technician with us at the processing plant's pelletizing plant 4 (KK4). In this role, you will be one of the key people in the work to increase the plants' operational reliability and availability in collaboration with other groups within the organization.

Job responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development of maintenance in the pellet plant by continuously analyzing and tracking root causes that affect operational reliability and availability.
• Solve technical problems.
• Participate in projects as a technical expert from the organization.
• Be part of the improvement group, sometimes also as the leader of this group.
• Be responsible for the budget related to maintenance work.

Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities and your ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.

For this role, you need to have a high school education and a B driver's license, which is a requirement for all positions at LKAB. It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Furthermore, a civil or university engineering degree or relevant work experience in maintenance is also an advantage. Experience with the pelletizing process, IFS, and MS Office is considered a plus.
